There is no such thing as overwinding a clock, there is no such thing as a drop of oil, these are things said in the past that are simply nonsense, there is only one way to repair a clock & that is for a start completely taking the movement apart & cleaning every part often by hand polishing pivots & also bushing any pivot holes that are worn & then go about making any parts needed , there is simply no quick fix with Antique clocks for us its the right way or no way. We always repair & restore clocks the same way with no exceptions, we will not give the clock a drop of oil or blow the dust of the movement we just simply wont cut corners so much so that if we are not successful with the repair of your clock we wont charge you a penny.
