Our Story
Family clock-making heritage goes back to the mid-18th century
We boast a fully equipped traditional clockmakers workshop and we have all the tools & skills that you would expect in a professional clockmaker.
This means we carry out all repairs and restoration in our workshops. We do not send work away this insures all work is done to our high standards.
Clock Repairs Merseyside started trading in 2016. We are a family-run and owned business and our clock-making heritage can be traced back to the mid-18th century in the small watchmaking town of Prescot in Merseyside.
At Clock Repairs Merseyside we are committed to the preservation of our horological past and take pride in keeping our antique timepieces telling time long into the future.
Our Mission
Our mission is to sympathetically restore and repair antique clocks and musical boxes using traditional clockmaking skills to ensure our workmanship matches the original look and design of your timepiece. We achieve this by paying attention to detail and using traditional clockmaking skills and materials, staying away from harsh modern products. Antique clocks should look like antique clocks but in the best condition possible.
Our Vision
Our vision is to keep our antique clocks, timepieces and musical boxes working and looking their best for many years to come, in order that our future generations can enjoy that reassuring tick and beautiful, distinctive strike or Westminster chime that can only be achieved by an antique mechanical clock. Quartz clocks simply cannot replicate this.
