This c1800 Grandfather clock has already been featured but these are a few pictures of the case, its pretty much finished just a few more detailing, the restoration has been sympathetic making sure we do not over restore, the top missing panel was originally a sheet of metal that had been painted in a copper/gold , we retain ed this & repainted keeping it as close to the original as we could.

We polished up all the brass furniture & added 3 finials, we always do research in order to replicate the original look of the clock, this particular clock is constructed using sold mahogany, this would have been imported to the UK as it is an exotic wood, this clock case would have been expensive to make at that time as oak is the wood that is indigenous to the UK & most long case clock cases are constructed with oak, we also made new feet for the clock using reclaimed mahogany, this is to all timber repairs consistent with age.
