Over the years we have been asked to do clock case restoration We found it difficult to find a company to accommodate ours & our customers needs. So we have converted one of our workshops to restore most types of clock case from the smallest to the largest. We have invested in some specialized equipment to enable us to use reclaimed Antique woods, such as mahogany & Oak then you have your exotic veneers.Using old reclaimed woods serves a few purposes, it helps us to match wood type & importantly the wood we use is antique keeping with traditional restoration practices, we will not use modern wood of any kind its simply not the same, older wood has a different look & feel that can not be matched with the wood that is available today, antique remodeled timbers are the right way to do antique restoration.
So now we are able to do everything in our workshops , this gives us complete control over all aspects of the restoration also saving the customer money & the trouble of dealing with different trades insuring that all restoration work is of the highest standards.
We will always go along the line of sympathetic restoration & strive to keep the clock looking period, our idea is the clock should look like an Antique clock but in good Antique condition, not over restored which from the Antique worlds prospective is a big no no, We have a passion for clocks its not just a job.
We use hand tools to keep the finish the same using the same methods used by the craftsmen of the past,
