This is the finished clock movement of the Robert Roskell striking bracket clock, the movement was completely dismantled & cleaned by hand there was also some bushing work needed x2 main springs & the copper wire driving the 2 fusees cones replaced.
It sometimes is very hard work to bring a clock like this back to this condition but worth it as this movement is of very good quality & I’m sure will be telling the time for another few hundred years. All parts needed for older clocks except mainsprings & maybe a few other parts need to be made. This is very time consuming but the results are worth it. We are lucky that we have fully equipped but traditional workshops with all the very old but right tools for the job.
