We are a professional Antique clock repair & restoration company, we take pride in our work to achieve the best results possible no matter if the clock is a valuable long case clock or a humble mantle clock.
Our costs are based on a full service this service will include pivot & bushing work in the case of a spring driven clock the springs will get replaced this is included in the service cost, to us a clock movement is a clock movement the only differences are if it has 3 trains or a single train, so please don,t expect us to price a repair or restoration based on the value of the clock, We wont increase the price of the repair if the clock is valuable or it is of sentimental value its based on what we do.
All clocks are given the same care & attention, we dismantle movements completely to clean them not just a drop of oil & there you go, & most of our work is done completely by hand the traditional way of clock making & case restoration is done using solid hardwoods & sourced from other furniture of the same period & worked with hand tools just as it was all them years ago, we are passionate about the preservation of our horological heritage.
We are happy to repair and restore clocks that are not Antique because a lot of the time these clocks have the highest value that being sentimental, so it’s hard to say to the person we don’t repair your clock because it’s not antique but we won’t repair the clock based on how much its worth as previously explained the cost is based on what we do, We always have work to do, we don,t have a slack period as such, every job is booked in & the customer is kept up to date with the progress of there repair.
