This is a very nice example of drop dial wall clock, it has a very nice solid oak case with a brass bezel to the dial & another oblong bezel to the pendulum inspection glass, the movement is spring driven but has a fusee for accuracy .
The movement is pendulum regulated with a substantial brass bob & the movement plates are of good thick brass & marked London there is no makers name but the clock is of good quality unfortunately there is a crack at the edge of the glass at between 2 & 3 o’clock but the clock is over 100 years old, the customer wanted to sell the clock & buy one off eBay but when he showed me pictures of the clock he was about to purchase i just had to let him know he was making a big mistake as this clock is superior in every way & a service was all that was needed, thankfully he changed his mind & saved himself some money.
