At Clock Repairs Merseyside we get many types of clocks in for repair, a common clock we see are the circular brass ships clock. They are always well made & have a good Quality movement.
Not all of them are Antique & many were made c1950s, there are a few types of movement in this style of clock the one above has a simple time only movement but you can get older types c1900 these often have a fusee movement & can be quite valuable & rare, the clock in the picture (above right) has a very nice fusee movement & was made in the Lancashire watch factory c1907. You also get your 8 bells type ships clock these were often made by Shatz a German company, these are not so easy to repair as they need a lot of setting up but thankfully we have many years of experience with this movement so we have an excellent success rate.
